Aviatrix Systems – Simplicity for Cloud Networking

Last week I participated in Cloud Field Day 4 in Silicon Valley. One of the sessions was presented by Aviatrix Systems and I already revealed my enthusiasm about this session in my last blog post. Networking is always a complex matter and I welcome each and every player defining their mission as to “Make Cloud Networking as simple and dynamic as Cloud Compute and Storage”.

The Founder of Aviatrix Systems, Sherry Wei, worked at Cisco for 13 years. She led and developed some of Cisco´s first generation products ( ). Furthermore she has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.

Multi-Cloud World

Businesses of course want their developers to choose the best possible services depending on which cloud delivers the best services to that project and choosing the cloud with the best services and that meet their competencies. We are entering a future with openness and a seamless integration with the ability to combine different tools, services and platforms. This flexibility is most welcome, but it also adds an unwanted complexity to the infrastructure…. And this is where Aviatrix Systems comes in.

Customers

Aviatrix Customers represent a wide range of industries: Technology, financial, consumer products and much more. What they have in common is that they embrace Cloud strategies and leave an door open for the Multi-Cloud World which is why they’re very interested in simplifying their network.

Networking is a complex matter even in your local data center. And the degree of visibility and control in your data center depend on your chosen tools. It’s not difficult to understand that adding cloud and Multi-cloud to your infrastructure will mean more difficulties in getting a complete picture of your network.

Visibility and monitoring

As mentioned Aviatrix focuses on making the connectivity to Cloud simpler but a lot of Aviatrix customers buy their product because of the possibility of making visibility and monitoring to do troubleshooting more effective. Aviatrix has out-of-the-box integration with Splunk, SumoLogic, Syslog, ELK and Datadog.

If you want to know more you can watch the videos from Cloud Field Day 4 with further walk-throughs of the product.

Thank you for a great presentation at Cloud Field Day 4, Aviatrix. I wish you the best of luck in succeeding with your mission.
